THE REALITY
An orthopedic practice with multiple locations in South Florida was looking for ways to attract new patients to their website. They had a decent web presence already being the large brand that they are, yet they did not know how to properly capitalize on the digital search opportunity.
They had recently redesigned their website without taking seo into consideration so there were several obstacles to overcome.
The site had a large amount of duplicate content and really no optimization strategy in place. There were also a handful of technical issues including broken pages, canonical tag mismatches, and page speed issues. They also had a lot of issues with their online citations (web directories) which created mixed signals thus hurting their local seo rankings.
THE STRATEGY
To begin we rewrote all of the duplicate content on their site with unique educational content about all of the conditions and procedures performed at the practice.
We then optimized all of the meta data on their site with keyword-rich title tags and meta descriptions. The heading tags then needed to be restructured and optimized on all pages so each page only utilizes one h1 tag.
We then removed various plugins that were slowing down the site and improved page speed by optimizing images and deferring non-critical assets.
To further build on their authority we launched a local seo campaign to not only improve their Google Maps visibility but to also help increase the number of backlinks pointing at the site.
THE RESULTS
Increase in organic website leads in the first five months.
Increase in Page 1 rankings in the first five months.
Increase in total keyword rankings in the first five months.
